On the evening of July 17, CCTV Opera Channel "To The Corner" broadcasted a special episode for paying tribute to the memory of Yao Xuanqiu, a performing artist of Teochew opera, who dedicated her life to Teochew opera and made outstanding contributions to the inheritance of Teochew opera.

Yao Xuanqiu was an outstanding representative of the first generation of Teochew opera performers who grew up after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. She dedicated her life to the inheritance and promotion of Teochew opera. She had been engaged in the arts for more than 70 years, and her name was closely associated with Teochew opera. The various female stage art characters she created were full of distinct personalities, local characteristics and the spirit of the times, forming an art gallery of contemporary Teochew opera stage characters, and making Teochew opera unleash unprecedented artistic vitality. In her later years, Yao Xuanqiu won many honors for Teochew opera due to her more than 70 years of hard work in Teochew opera. In October 2021, Yao Xuanqiu accepted an exclusive interview with the CCTV Opera Channel "To The Corner" Program. On July 2 this year, Yao Xuanqiu died in Guangzhou at the age of 88.

　　7月17日晚，央视戏曲频道《角儿来了》播出缅怀潮剧表演艺术家姚璇秋特辑，致敬这位一生都属于潮剧，为潮剧传承作出杰出贡献的艺术家。

　　姚璇秋是新中国成立后成长起来的第一代潮剧演员杰出代表，一生致力于潮剧的传承和推广。从艺70余载，她的名字与潮剧紧密联系在一起。她塑造的各种女性舞台艺术形象，富有鲜明的个性、地方特征和时代精神，组成了当代潮剧舞台人物形象的艺术画廊，让潮剧迸发出前所未有的艺术活力。晚年的姚璇秋凭借其在潮剧70余年的耕耘，为潮剧捧回许多荣誉。2021年10月，姚璇秋接受了央视戏曲频道《角儿来了》栏目组的专访。今年7月2日，姚璇秋在广州逝世，享年88岁。
