On the morning of August 4, the Municipal Civilization Office, the Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the Bureau of Overseas Chinese Affairs and other organizations held "Taking Overseas Chinese as the Bridge, Meeting at the Double Seventh Festival" -- Young People from Home and Abroad Learning Intangible Cultural Heritage Skills at Huilan Academy, one of the 2022 Shantou "Our Festival • Double Seventh Festival" series of events. The youth representatives from various sectors in Shantou, from overseas Chinese groups and from Hong Kong and Macao participated in the event.

The event used the traditional festival to spread fine Chinese culture and display Shantou's intangible cultural heritage. Via video link, the scenes of the event were connected with young representatives of overseas Teochew groups in the United States, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, as well as the teachers and students from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and other countries, building a bridge of cultural communication. Under the leadership of the commentators and intangible cultural heritage inheritors, the online and offline youth appreciated the charms of intangible cultural heritage such as paper-cut, Chaozhou embroidery, seal cutting, rice cakes and Kung Fu Tea.

　　汕头开展海内外青年学非遗传技艺活动

　　8月4日上午，市文明办联合团市委、市侨务局等单位在廻澜书院举办2022年汕头市“我们的节日·七夕节”系列活动之“以侨为桥 相约七夕”——海内外青年廻澜书院学非遗传技艺诵经典活动。来自汕头各行业青年代表、海外侨团青年代表及港澳潮籍青年代表参加活动。

　　活动借传统节日传播中华优秀文化，展示汕头非遗文化。现场还连线在美国、新西兰、新加坡、马来西亚的海外潮团青年代表以及泰国、柬埔寨、老挝等国家的老师同学们，架起文化沟通的桥梁。在讲解员和非遗传承人的带领下，线上线下的青年共同领略剪纸、潮绣、篆刻、粿品、工夫茶等非遗魅力。
