On August 8, the Starting Ceremony of the 2022 Guangdong Province "Nationwide Fitness Day" and the Guangdong Historical Road Orienteering Championship (Shantou Chenghai Station) were held in Qianmei Village, Longdu Town, Chenghai District, Shantou.

Qianmei Village, the main venue of the Guangdong Historical Road Orienteering Championship, is one of the important sites on the Dongjiang-Hanjiang Historical Trail. It was first built in the late Yuan Dynasty. There are several intact century-old residences preserved in the village. Among them, the Former Residence of Chen Cihong is known as "the first overseas Chinese residence in Lingnan". The tracks for the Championship were mainly set up around the Former Residence of Chen Cihong and the surrounding overseas Chinese residences. The contestants run around the ancient buildings and the fields and ponds. The organizers set up a variety of cultural activities at the event site, such as Chaoshan big gongs and drums, 24 festive drums, Taijiquan show, sports dances and other cultural performances and sports exhibitions with Chaoshan characteristics, so that the contestants can experience the culture of overseas Chinese hometown and Chaoshan culture in many aspects and forms while enjoying the fun of orienteering. The whole event also rejuvenated the ancient village.

　　广东省“全民健身日”启动仪式在汕头澄海前美村举行

　　8月8日，2022年广东省“全民健身日”启动仪式暨南粤古驿道定向大赛（汕头澄海站）在我市澄海区隆都镇前美村举行。

　　此次南粤古驿道定向大赛主会场前美村是东江—韩江古驿道线路上的重要节点之一，始建于元朝末年，村内保留了多座完整的百年老宅第，其中陈慈黉故居有“岭南第一侨宅”的美称。此次赛道主要设置在陈慈黉故居及周边侨居，参赛选手围绕古建筑与田地池塘之间奔跑。主办方在赛事现场设置了丰富多彩的文化活动，潮汕大锣鼓、二十四节令鼓、太极拳展示、体育舞蹈等极具潮汕特色的文艺表演和体育展示，让选手们享受定向运动乐趣的同时，多方面、多形式地感受侨乡文化、潮汕文化。整场活动也让这座古村焕发了新的活力。
