On August 15, with the ships, equipment and personnel in place for maritime vertical grouting operation, maritime grouting operation for Shantou Bay Subsea Tunnel was officially started, "consolidating the road" so that the Subsea Tunnel can run through the sea.

Shantou Bay Undersea Tunnel is a control project for the whole line of Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway, with a total length of 9,781 meters, and it is located in a magnitude-8 earthquake zone. This time, the depth of the maritime grouting hole is 96 meters, which is very difficult for operation. Moreover, the grouting area is located in the main channel of Shantou Bay, which is easily affected by weather such as typhoon, heavy fog and heavy rainfall. Therefore, it is difficult for waterborne and underwater operations, with high safety risks. In order to ensure the expected grouting effect, the construction team will conduct on-site grouting tests, for the purpose of developing the construction plan and construction technology suitable for the geological conditions of the tested section of the Project and guiding subsequent large-area construction. In order to reduce the impact of maritime grouting on the sea area, the construction workers deployed an anchor at every 30-meter interval of the high-pressure grouting pipe, and fixed the grouting pipe on the seabed to prevent the grouting pipe from disturbing the construction and passing ships.

　　汕汕铁路汕头湾海底隧道开始海上注浆作业

　　8月15日，随着海上垂直注浆作业船只、设备及人员到位，汕头湾海底隧道正式开启海上注浆作业，为隧道穿海之旅“夯实道路”。

　　汕头湾海底隧道是汕汕铁路全线控制性工程，全长9781米，地处8级地震带。此次海上注浆孔深达96米，注浆难度大，且注浆区域位于汕头湾主航道，易受到台风、大雾、强降雨等天气影响，水上水下作业难度大、安全风险高。为确保达到预期注浆效果，施工团队将进行现场注浆试验，形成适合该工程试验段地质条件的施工方案和施工工艺，以指导后续大面积施工。为减少海上注浆对海域的影响，参建人员在高压注浆管每30米处配置1个船锚，将注浆管固定在海床上，防止注浆管对施工及过往船只造成影响。
