On the afternoon of August 22, the 8th session of the Standing Committee of the 15th Shantou Municipal People's Congress adopted after a vote the Decision on the Establishment of “Shantou Talent Week”. Starting in 2022, November 1 – 7 each year will be designated as “Shantou Talent Week”, for the purpose of further optimizing the ecological environment for talent development and accelerate the construction of a regional talent gathering hub.

Shantou will take advantage of the peak job searching season for college graduates, and hold special job fairs and other activities for college graduates, to attract more college graduates to come to Shantou for employment and entrepreneurship. In addition, during the annual Talent Week, Shantou will organize a series of activities, including the conferences on exchange of overseas Chinese professionals, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, vocational skills competitions, special job fairs for middle and high-end talents, and special job fairs for college graduates, and invite high-level talents and Teochew organizations from home and abroad to participate in the events, making “Shantou Talent Week” a city business card and talent work brand in Shantou.

　　汕头市将每年11月1日至7日定为“汕头人才周”

　　8月22日下午，汕头市十五届人大常委会第八次会议表决通过《关于设立“汕头人才周”的决定》，自2022年起，将每年11月1日至7日设定为“汕头人才周”，进一步优化人才发展生态环境，加快建设区域人才集聚中心。

　　我市将利用高校毕业生求职旺季，举办高校毕业生专场招聘会等活动，吸引更多高校毕业生来汕就业创业。此外，还将在每年人才周期间，举办华侨华人人才交流会、创新创业大赛、职业技能大赛、中高端人才专场招聘会、高校毕业生专场招聘会等系列活动，邀请海内外高层次人才和潮团参加活动，让“汕头人才周”成为汕头城市名片、人才工作品牌。
