Recently, after having been renovated and upgraded, Shantou People's Square was proud to display its new images, and it was opened to the public. After a new round of renovation and expansion, the public areas, including the west side of the People's Square, the Workers Culture Palace, and the promenade pier on the south side, have been upgraded to leisure green spaces with better facilities and more beautiful environment, mainly focusing on fitness functions and people’s recreation, to meet the needs of the citizens for sports and leisure.

　　汕头人民广场“华丽变身”

　　近日，升级改造后的汕头人民广场“华丽变身”，向市民开放。经过新一轮的改造扩建，人民广场西侧、工人文化宫及南侧长廊码头等地已升级为设施更完善、环境更优美的休闲绿地，以康体功能和市民游憩为主，满足市民运动休闲的需求。
