Shantou has been making solid progress in promoting the "Ten Livelihood Programs", which include fully linking the "dead-end roads" to facilitate people's travel. Recently, new progress has been made in the firstly-started sections of Haibin Road Eastward Extension Phase II Project. Haibin Road (Huangshan Road - Taixing Road), which was completed one month earlier than the originally planned construction deadline, is about 1 kilometer long, has met the conditions for opening to traffic, and will be opened to trial traffic on September 28. Since then, the citizens will have a new option from Zhugang New Town to East Coast Area. This will also effectively relieve traffic pressure on Zhongshan East Road and facilitate people's travel during the National Day.

The firstly-started sections of Haibin Road Eastward Extension Phase II Project include the Haibin Road (Huangshan Road - East Coast Avenue) section and the Taishan Road (Haibin Road - south side of Taixing Road) section. The two sections have a total of 2.37 kilometers, both of which are the urban arterial roads with two-way six lanes. The length of Haibin Road (Huangshan Road - Taixing Road), which will be the first to be opened to traffic, is about 950 meters.

　　汕头市海滨路（黄山路-泰星路）9月28日试通车

　　我市扎实推进“十大民生实事”，打通“断头路”畅通群众出行。近期，海滨路东延二期先行启动段工程取得新进展，约1公里长的海滨路（黄山路-泰星路）具备通车条件，将于9月28日实现试通车，比原计划工期提前一个月完成，让市民从珠港新城到东海岸片区有了新的选择，也将有效缓解中山东路的交通压力，方便市民国庆期间出行。

　　海滨路东延二期先行启动段工程包括海滨路（黄山路-东海岸大道）路段、泰山路（海滨路-泰星路南侧）路段，两个路段共2.37公里，均为双向6车道的城市主干道。此次率先试通车的海滨路（黄山路-泰星路）路段长度约950米。
