From September 27 to 28, the Department of Transport of Guangdong Province organized an on-site inspection meeting for the final acceptance of the Phase II Project of the Waterway of Guang'ao Port Area of Shantou Port in Shantou. The on-site inspection group for final acceptance concluded that the completed project met the conditions for final acceptance, and they agreed that the completed project would be accepted as qualified.

The Phase II Project of the Waterway of Guang'ao Port Area of Shantou Port is designed based on that a 100,000-ton container ship can be navigated around the clock. The total length of the waterway is 6.11 kilometers, the approved estimated investment of the Project is RMB 225 million, and the final investment of the Project is RMB 197 million. The completion and operation of the waterway has raised the level of public infrastructure in Shantou Port and improved navigation conditions in Guang'ao Port Area. It is of positive significance in adapting to the development trend of large ships arriving in port, promoting the development of the port area, consolidating the status of Guang'ao Port Area as a core port area, and enhancing the comprehensive strength of Shantou Port.

　　汕头港广澳港区航道二期工程通过竣工验收

　　9月27日至28日，广东省交通运输厅在汕头组织召开汕头港广澳港区航道二期工程竣工验收现场核查会。竣工验收现场核查组认为该工程符合竣工验收条件，同意竣工验收合格。

　　广澳港区航道二期工程按全天候通航10万吨级集装箱船舶设计，航道总长6.11公里，工程批复概算2.25亿，工程决算投资1.97亿。航道的建成运营，提高了汕头港港口公共基础设施等级，改善广澳港区的通航条件，对适应到港船舶大型化的发展趋势，促进港区发展，夯实广澳核心港区地位，提高汕头港的综合实力具有积极的意义。
