On the morning of October 10, Shantou University held the 2022 opening ceremony. The freshmen gathered at the beautiful East Coast Campus to witness a new starting point and embark on a new journey. This year, Shantou University has 4,610 undergraduates, 1,755 master's students, and 82 doctoral students. The East Coast Campus welcomed the first group of new students to settle down. This is a major milestone in the development of Shantou University. It is also a major development opportunity for Shantou University to expand its school-running pattern and promote the construction of a high-quality university with a new layout of "one body, multiple wings".

　　10月10日上午，汕头大学举行2022年开学典礼，新生们相聚在美丽的东海岸校区，共同见证新起点，开启新航程。今年，汕头大学共有本科生4610名、硕士研究生1755名，博士研究生82名。东海岸校区迎来首批新生入驻，是汕头大学发展里程碑上浓墨重彩的一笔，也是汕头大学扩大办学格局，以“一体多翼”新布局推进高水平大学建设的重大发展良机。
