Recently, the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China announced the List of the Second Group of Distinct Agricultural Products of National Fame in China in 2022. A total of 377 products in China were officially included in the List. Two agricultural products from Shantou, including Leiling Yougan and Chenghai dragon fruit, were included in the List.

"Distinct agricultural products of national fame in China" refer to those produced in specific areas, with certain production scale and commodity volume, significant regional characteristics and unique nutritional quality, stable supply and consumption market, and high public recognition and reputation. Leiling Yougan, which was included in the "National Brand" list this time, comes from Leiling Town, the "hometown of lychee". With a planting area of about 5,000 mu, Leiling phyllanthus emblica is the fruit grown in the region with a planting area next only to that of lychee. The Chenghai dragon fruit on the list has a total area of 6,000 mu planted in Xinan Town, Chenghai District. The project of planting dragon fruit in Xinan Town was also recognized as a project for developing the town with particular agro-industrial strengths by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China in 2021.

汕头雷岭油甘和澄海火龙果入选全国名特优新农产品

　　近日，农业农村部农产品质量安全中心公布了2022年第二批全国名特优新农产品名录，全国377个产品正式纳入该名录，汕头的雷岭油甘、澄海火龙果2个农产品上榜。

　　全国名特优新农产品是指在特定区域内生产，具备一定生产规模和商品量，具有显著地域特征和独特营养品质，有稳定的供应量和消费市场，公众认知度和美誉度高。此次入选“国字号”名录的雷岭油甘产自“荔枝之乡”雷岭镇，种植面积约5000亩，是除了荔枝之外，当地种植面积第二大的水果。而上榜的澄海火龙果在澄海区溪南镇种植总面积高达6000亩，溪南镇火龙果2021年还被农业农村部被认定为产业强镇项目。
