Recently, the Gezhou Overseas Chinese Cultural Center in Haojiang District, Shantou was officially opened to the public. By means of infographic, it showcases Gezhou's humanistic connotation, ancient village overview, and overseas Chinese culture from various perspectives.

Gezhou is a well-known hometown of overseas Chinese, and has successively won the titles of "China Qiao'ai New Village" and "Guangdong Ancient Village". The family members of the compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao and Chinese nationals residing abroad in the village account for 88% of the total population, who are distributed in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and other places. The Gezhou Overseas Chinese Cultural Center was transformed from the village's "Seafarers' Club" site on the basis of the original structural layout, implanting various cultural elements, which is refreshing. In addition to the picture display and text introduction, there are also many real objects on display in the exhibition cabinets, showing the scenery, folk customs and rural culture of Gezhou as a hometown of overseas Chinese.

　　汕头濠江区葛洲侨文化馆正式开放

　　近日，我市濠江区葛洲侨文化馆正式对外开放，通过图文并茂的方式，多角度展示葛洲的人文底蕴、古村概貌和华侨文化。

　　葛洲是远近闻名的侨乡，先后荣获“全国侨爱新村”“广东省古村落”称号。村中侨眷及港澳同胞家属占总人口88％，分布于香港及东南亚等地。葛洲侨文化馆由该村的“海员俱乐部”旧址在原结构布局基础上改造，植入多种文化元素，令人耳目一新。展览内容除了图片展示及文字介绍外，展柜中还陈列着诸多实物，展示葛洲的侨乡风光、民俗以及乡村文化等内容。
