On the morning of October 28, the Square in Front of Chaoyang Station of Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway, a key project in Shantou, was completed and put into use. The Square is located in Gurao Town, Chaoyang District. It is an important part of the comprehensive supporting facilities for Chaoyang Station of Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway. The planned total area of land used for the Project is about 9.6 hectares, integrating with construction of both underground and ground parking lots which provide more than 600 parking spaces. In addition, unified planning and arrangements have been made for bus, taxi and e-hailing parking areas to further improve the passenger flow distribution function and regional traffic layout at Chaoyang Station.

As an important project for public well-being in Chaoyang District, during the planning and construction of the Square, transportation planning and urban planning and development are successfully integrated with traditional culture. The Square is equipped with urban facilities such as green landscape, wind-and-rain corridors, and public toilets, and employs intangible cultural heritage techniques such as Chaoyang paper-cutting and embossed murals, further promoting the history and culture of the place name of Chaoyang as a “Millennium Ancient County”, and enhancing the urban image and quality of Chaoyang.

　　厦深铁路潮阳站站前广场建成启用

　　10月28日上午，我市重点项目厦深铁路潮阳站站前广场建成启用。该广场位于潮阳区谷饶镇，是厦深铁路潮阳站综合配套设施的重要组成部分，项目规划总用地面积144.283亩，配套建设地下停车场和地上停车场，提供逾600个车位。此外，还对公交车、出租车及电召车停靠区进行统一规划安排，进一步完善潮阳站客流集散功能和区域交通布局。

　　作为潮阳区重要的民生项目，广场在规划建设过程中将交通规划、城市规划发展与传统文化有机结合，在广场上配套绿地景观、风雨连廊、公共厕所等城市设施，并采用潮阳剪纸、浮雕壁画等非遗技艺，进一步弘扬潮阳“千年古县”地名历史文化，提升潮阳城市形象和城市品位。
