On November 1-2, the 2022 Shantou "Chaoshan Beef" snack skills competition, which was sponsored by Shantou Municipal Bureau of Human Resource and Social Security, was held in Jinxin Campus of Shantou Technician College.

The Competition consisted of an outstanding chef group and an emerging chef group. The contestants were required to use Chiu Chow cuisine cooking skills, select high-quality beef as food ingredients, and independently complete three “Chaoshan Beef” snacks with the flavors of Guangdong Lingnan culture and Chaoshan traditional food. The Competition provided a stage for the contestants to exchange skills. During the Competition and during the preparation for the Competition, the contestants improved their skills for making “Chaoshan Beef” hot pot and snacks. At the same time, the competition platform was also used to promote Chiu Chow cuisine culture and learn and carry forward the skills of outstanding chefs in making delicious food, for the purpose of further promoting the “Chaoshan Beef” snack brand as well as protecting, inheriting and disseminating the skills of making Chiu Chow hand-pounded beef balls.

　　汕头举办2022年“潮汕牛肉”小吃技能大赛

　　11月1日至2日，由市人社局主办的2022年汕头市“潮汕牛肉”小吃技能大赛在汕头技师学院金新校区举行。

　　本次大赛分为工匠组和新秀组，要求参赛选手运用潮菜烹饪技法，选用优质牛类食材，独立完成三道具有广东岭南文化以及潮汕传统饮食风味的“潮汕牛肉”小吃。大赛为选手们提供了交流技艺的舞台，在备赛参赛中提升制作“潮汕牛肉”火锅、小吃的水平，同时也借助赛事平台推广潮汕美食文化，传承匠心美味，进一步做好“潮汕牛肉”小吃品牌的推广和潮汕手打牛肉丸制作技艺的保护、传承和传播工作。
