
On November 15, the list of winning projects of the 6th Chinese Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition was announced. As the only project recommended by the Guangdong cultural tourism sector, Shantou's cultural volunteer service project of "Joining Hands in Embroidering a Bright Future" (hereinafter referred to as the "Project") was selected for the Competition. In the end, the Project stood out from 1,000 shortlisted projects and was included in the list of publicity for the gold medal in the Competition.
The Project is a cultural volunteer service brand activity which Shantou Municipal Cultural Center, relying on Shantou municipal intangible cultural heritage items Chiu Chow embroidery and bead embroidery, organizes cultural volunteers to go to Shantou's schools for the deaf to teach Chiu Chow embroidery and bead embroidery. Since 2013, a total of 566 teaching activities have been carried out, and 3,396 people have participated in the cultural volunteer activities. Driven by the Project, the intangible cultural heritage items such as Chaoyang paper cutting, crochet flowers, and Gongfu tea art are also promoted in the schools and communities through classroom teaching and cultural volunteer activities, to nurture people's minds and warm society with culture.

汕头“携手绣未来”项目入选中国青年志愿服务项目大赛金奖
11月15日,第六届中国青年志愿服务项目大赛获奖项目名单公示,我市“携手绣未来”文化志愿服务项目作为广东省文旅系统推送的唯一项目入选本次大赛,最终在1000个入围项目中脱颖而出,荣登大赛金奖公示榜。
“携手绣未来”文化志愿服务项目是由市文化馆依托我市的市级非遗项目潮绣、珠绣,组织文化志愿者到市聋哑学校开展潮绣、珠绣教学的文化志愿服务品牌活动。自2013年以来,共开展了566场教学活动,3396人次参与文化志愿活动。在该项目的带动下,潮阳剪纸、手钩花、工夫茶茶艺等非遗项目也纷纷进校园、进社区开展课堂教学和文化志愿活动,用文化滋养心灵、温暖社会。
