
On the morning of November 19, after more than 800 days of hard work, the tunnel from the entrance of the mining section of Shantou Bay Subsea Tunnel of Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway to No. 1 inclined well was successfully opened and connected to the construction section of No. 1 inclined well.
Shantou Bay Undersea Tunnel has a total length of 9,781 meters. It is the world's first single-hole double-track high-speed railway undersea tunnel designed with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, where the geological conditions are hard and complex. It is a difficult and high-risk project for the whole line of Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway. The tunnel is divided into a marine section and a land section. Using a combined construction plan of "open excavation method + shielding method + mining method", the construction projects on the north and south shores move in the opposite direction, and multiple work surfaces are excavated at the same time. Up to now, a total of 7,490 meters of the tunnel has been excavated, accounting for 76.58% of the total length.

汕汕铁路汕头湾海底隧道加快掘进
11月19日上午,历经800多天的艰苦奋战,汕汕铁路汕头湾海底隧道矿山段进口至1号斜井顺利实现洞通,与1号斜井施工段成功连接。
汕头湾海底隧道全长9781米,是世界首条设计时速350公里的单洞双线高铁海底隧道,地质条件复杂,是全线重难点工程、高风险工程。隧道分为海域段和陆域段,采用“明挖法+盾构法+矿山法”的组合施工方案,南北岸相向而行,多个工作面共同掘进。目前,整座隧道累计掘进7490米,已完成整体长度的76.58%。
