Recently, the Chiu-Chow Opera (Youtai Opera) "Number One Scholar Meets His Wife at the Imperial Capital", which was directed by the Thailand Chiu-Chow Opera Inheritance Center of Guangdong Chiu-Chow Opera Theatre, was performed at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, becoming a major cultural exchange event between China and Thailand. On the day of the performance, many famous Thai politicians and businessmen, Chiu-Chow Opera experts and scholars, and folks of Chiu-Chow origin who loved Chiu-Chow Opera watched the performance.

Guangdong Chiu-Chow Opera Theatre vigorously implemented the "Chiu-Chow Opera Overseas Cultural Ambassador Action Plan". In April this year, it set up overseas Chiu-Chow Opera inheritance centers in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, for the purpose of relying on overseas Chiu-Chow Opera inheritance centers to implement the Chiu-Chow Opera overseas cultural ambassador action, carrying forward fine traditional Chinese culture, and building up the popularity of Chiu-Chow Opera culture overseas.

　　泰语潮剧《状元与夫人京城会》在泰上演

　　近日，由广东潮剧院泰国潮剧传承中心编导的泰语潮剧（优泰剧）《状元与夫人京城会》在泰国商会大学献演，成为中泰文化交流活动的一大盛事。演出当天，多位泰国政商界知名人士、潮剧专家学者和热爱潮剧的潮籍乡亲观看了演出。

　　广东潮剧院大力实施“潮剧海外文化使者行动计划”，今年4月在新加坡、马来西亚、泰国设立海外潮剧传承中心，旨在依托海外潮剧传承中心，实施潮剧海外文化使者行动，弘扬中华优秀传统文化，提升潮剧文化在海外的知名度。
