On the morning of December 28, Nan’ao County, Shantou City held a groundbreaking event for the project of Shantou Nan'ao National Coastal Fishing Port Economic Zone at the Yun'ao National Center Fishing Port, which would boost the rural revitalization and the integrated development of "port, industry and city" in the fishing area.

The total investment of the Project is over RMB 430 million, mainly distributed at Yun'ao Fishing Port, Houjiang Fishing Port, and Wuping Village Fishing Port in Nan'ao County. The construction contents of the Project mainly includes adding new fishing ports, dredging part of the port basin (berthing waters), improving the construction standards of breakwaters, beautifying the port area, collecting and disposing sewage, and building water and electricity facilities. Currently, Nan'ao County is actively promoting the reform of comprehensive management of fishing ports and the establishment of a fishing port economic zone, to provide strong support for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. It plans to develop a modern fishery economic zone integrating with fishing boat sheltering supplies, fishing goods trading, cold chain logistics, leisure and tourism and urban construction, which is characterized by the integration of "port, industry and city" with obvious spillover effects on stimulating the development of Marine and fishery economy in the surrounding areas.

　　汕头南澳国家级沿海渔港经济区开工

　　12月28日上午，我市南澳县在云澳国家中心渔港举行汕头南澳国家级沿海渔港经济区项目开工活动，助推渔区乡村振兴和“港产城”一体化发展。

　　该项目总投资超4.3亿元，主要分布于南澳县云澳渔港、后江渔港、吴平寨渔港。项目建设内容主要包括新增渔业码头、疏浚部分港池（停泊水域）、提高防波堤建设标准、美化港区、污水收集以及相应配套水电等。目前，南澳正积极推动渔港综合管理改革和渔港经济区的创建，为实施乡村振兴战略提供有力支撑，规划形成以渔港为龙头、城镇为依托、渔业为基础，集渔船避风补给、渔货交易、冷链物流、精深加工、休闲观光、城镇建设为一体，辐射效应明显的港产城一体化的现代渔业经济区，带动周边地区海洋与渔业经济的发展。
