At the beginning of 2023, good news was spread about the Project of Jingzao Bridge on Chaozhou-Shantou Loop Expressway under Guangdong Communication Group: The completion rate of the 2022 construction targets reached 100%, with a total investment of RMB 750 million completed.

Jingzao Bridge, a control project of the Jingzao Bridge Project, is 1,793 meters long. The main bridge crosses the South River of the Rongjiang River. The two 126-meter-high main towers are located in Shantou City and Jieyang City respectively. They are designed as diamond-shaped. Both "kingcup" (the city flower of Shantou) and "lotus" (the city flower of Jieyang) are extracted as design elements, and the "double flowers" are designed to blossom through the morphological combination of petals, implying that "Shantou and Jieyang share the same origin, and they are connected with each other among blooming flowers". Once completed and opened to traffic, Jingzao Bridge will effectively address the traffic needs of hundreds of thousands of people on both sides of the South River of the Rongjiang River and greatly improve the traffic efficiency of the expressway network in eastern Guangdong.

　　潮汕环线高速京灶大桥建设再传捷报

　　新年伊始，广东交通集团所属潮汕环线高速京灶大桥项目传来好消息：2022年度建设目标任务完成率达100%，累计完成投资7.5亿元。

　　京灶大桥项目控制性工程京灶大桥全长1793米，主桥跨越榕江南河，高度为126米的两个主塔分别位于汕头市和揭阳市境内，设计为钻石型，并提取汕头市花“金凤花”和揭阳市花“莲花”作为设计元素，通过花瓣的形态组合演变设计“双花”盛开，寓意“汕揭同源，花开连城”。京灶大桥项目建成通车后，将有效解决榕江南河两岸数十万群众交流往来的交通需求，极大提升粤东区域高速公路网的通行效率。
