On the afternoon of January 18, Shantou municipal departments of overseas Chinese affairs organized overseas Chinese from 10 countries including Canada, Belgium, Japan and the United Arab Emirates, who returned to Shantou for Lunar New Year celebration, to visit the Port-opening Area of Shantou Small Park. When they walked along Zhenbang Food Street with unique Teochew customs and cuisine, those overseas Chinese tasted the delicious food, appreciated the intangible cultural heritage, exchanged small talks, recalled the stories of childhood, got full immersive nostalgia, and hoped to promote Shantou cuisine and Chaoshan culture to the whole China and even to the whole world.

Zhenbang Food Street was decorated with lanterns and streamers, full of atmosphere for Lunar New Year celebration. Those overseas Chinese walked into the stores, exchanged Teochew cooking techniques with business owners, and tasted exquisite and delicious Teochew food. They also went to the egg carving art exhibition booth to appreciate the exquisite egg carving works and enjoy the unique cultural and food feast.

　　回汕过年的海外侨胞逛镇邦美食街

　　1月18日下午，我市侨务部门组织来自加拿大、比利时、日本、阿联酋等10个国家回家过年的侨界人士来到小公园开埠区，侨胞们行走在潮味浓郁、美食飘香的镇邦美食街，尝美食、赏非遗、话家常，追寻儿时记忆，品味浓浓乡愁，希望把汕头美食、潮汕文化推广到全国乃至全世界。

　　美食街张灯结彩，年味十足，侨胞们走进商铺，与经营者交流潮汕菜制作技艺，品尝精致美味的潮汕美食，还到蛋雕艺术展台，欣赏精美的蛋雕作品，畅享独具特色的文化美食盛宴。
