For the purpose of strengthening cooperation between state-owned film enterprises and Shantou in the film industry and promoting cultural exchanges among Guangdong, Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces, from February 6 to 7, a delegation composed of the principal leaders of Pearl River Film Group, Western Film Group and Emei Film Group visited Shantou and conducted field missions in Small Park, the former site of the CPC Central Committee Red Postage Route (Shantou Station), the Museum of Historical Records of Cai Chusheng, a Pioneer of China's Progressive Films, and Teochew Film Celebrities, Zhenbang Food Street, and Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center, etc., to learn about new developments in Shantou's urban development and the development of the Shantou film industry, and explore projects that can deepen exchanges and cooperation.

In recent years, Shantou elements have appeared frequently in the film market. The film Dad, I Will Succeed, which was released nationwide in 2018, was directed by a Teochew youth, and 90% of the actors and production staff for the film were Teochew people. It was the first Teochew film of cinema chain shot in Chaoshan area. In 2021, the crew of Guangdong Pearl River Film and Television Production Co., Ltd. shot the film Storm in Shantou, for a period of 3 months. In 2022, the film Back to Love continued the creative path of "Teochew Localization" in all aspects, constantly receiving favorable feedbacks since its release. In addition, the films Only Fools Rush In, Grass Ring, Burning Love, Operation Falcon, and Xia Yulai, the online movie Qixuanzi, and the online movie and TV drama Raging Lizard, were filmed in Shantou. In 2023, the blockbusters jostle for the Spring Festival holiday in Shantou took in more than RMB 22 million, ranking sixth in Guangdong Province. The movie box office is developing with sound momentum.

　　多家电影集团组团莅汕调研

　　为加强国有电影企业与我市在电影产业方面的合作，促进粤陕蜀三地文化交流，2月6日至7日，珠江电影集团与西部电影集团及峨眉电影集团主要负责同志一行莅汕调研，到小公园、中央红色交通线旧址汕头站、蔡楚生电影史迹馆、镇邦美食街、潮博中心等处实地考察，了解汕头城市发展新貌和汕头电影产业发展情况，探索深化交流合作的项目。

　　近年来，电影市场频现汕头元素。2018年在全国上映的电影《爸，我一定行的》由潮汕青年执导，90%的演员及制作人员为潮汕人，取景于潮汕本土，是潮汕首部院线电影。2021年广东珠影影视制作有限公司电影《暴风》摄制组驻汕取景拍摄，为期3个月。2022年电影《带你去见我妈》全方位延续“潮汕本土化”创作路线，上映后好评不断。此外，电影《四海》《草戒指》《燃烧的爱》《猎鹰行动》《夏雨来》，网络电影《七玄子》，网络影视剧《狂暴巨蜥》等都在汕头取景拍摄。2023年我市春节档票房2200多万元，位居全省第六，电影票房发展势头良好。
