On February 8, Nan'ao Science Conference, which was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province and the Shantou Municipal People's Government, was officially launched in Nan'ao County, Shantou City. A total of 20 academicians and more than 40 experts and scholars from relevant universities and research institutes inside and outside Guangdong Province attended the launching conference.

Nan'ao Science Conferences will, taking Xiangshan Science Conferences and Shuangqing Forum as the benchmarks, focus on the major strategic requirements of national and local development, bring together top scientists and young scientists in basic science and technology strategic research at home and abroad, conduct free discussions, unleash innovative ideas, promote changes in scientific research paradigms, create a high-level basic research academic exchange platform with international influence, and strive to become important sources of scientific theories and original innovations in China.

　　南澳科学会议在汕头启动

　　2月8日，由广东省科技厅、汕头市人民政府主办的南澳科学会议在汕头南澳正式启动，来自省内外有关高校和科研院所的20名院士及40多名专家、学者参加了启动会。

　　南澳科学会议将对标香山科学会议和双清论坛，聚焦国家和地方发展重大战略需求，集聚海内外基础科学和科技战略研究领域的顶尖科学家和青年科学家，开展自由研讨，激发创新思想，推动科研范式变革，打造具有国际影响力的高层次基础研究学术交流平台，力争成为我国科学理论和原始创新的重要策源地。
