From March 6 to 7, Qiao Wei, adviser and former vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and chairman of the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, led a delegation to inspect overseas Chinese affairs work in Shantou.

During their stay in Shantou, Qiao Wei and his entourage visited places such as the Cultural Exhibition Hall of Shantou's Port Opening, the Qiaopi Museum (“Qiaopi” refers to a special form of family correspondence used by overseas Chinese in the 19th and 20th centuries), and the Small Park Historical and Cultural Block, and learned more about the development achievements of Shantou Special Economic Zone and Chaoshan overseas Chinese culture. He hoped that Shantou would seize high-quality development opportunities, give full play to its advantages in rich resources related to Chinese nationals overseas, and provide more opportunities and platforms for new Chinese nationals overseas to give full play to their talents; take the opportunity of hosting the 22nd Teochew International Convention and the 10th World Chaoshan Entrepreneurs Convention, optimize and improve the platform for Chinese nationals overseas, and attract more overseas high-level talents to return their hometown for innovation and entrepreneurship; play its role in bringing together Chinese nationals overseas, establish close ties with them, continuously enhance their national proud and hometown affection, pool their support, and jointly contribute to the Chinese Dream of rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

　　中国华侨公益基金会理事长乔卫一行莅汕调研

　　3月6日至7日，中国侨联顾问、原副主席、中国华侨公益基金会理事长乔卫带队莅汕，调研汕头市侨务工作情况。
