On the morning of March 11, a delegation from the Thailand Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Unification of China (TCPRUC), which was led by the TCPRUC Chairman Wang Zhimin, visited Shantou and renewed their affection for their hometown, for the purpose of fostering compatriot friendship and pursuing common development.

Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, welcomed the delegation and hoped that the TCPRUC would continue to fully play its role as a bridge, guide more Chinese nationals living in Thailand to visit Shantou for inspection, exchanges, investment and business operations, thereby deepening economic, trade and cultural exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Thailand. Wang Zhimin said that the TCPRUC would do whatever it can to unite and lead more overseas Chaoshan associations and entrepreneurs to visit Shantou for inspection, promoting industrial cooperation, economic and trade cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges between Shantou and Thailand, and striving to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
