On April 6, Shantou held the 2023 Shantou Discussion Meeting of Chairpersons of Chaozhou Chambers of Commerce at Home and Abroad, and talked about the future with nearly a hundred chairpersons of Chaozhou Chambers of Commerce and representatives of Chaoshan business people at home and abroad.
Wen Zhanbin, secretary of CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, pointed out in his speech that Chaoshan business people were the most precious resources, the most precious gold-lettered signboard, and the most powerful force for Shantou's development, and could provide important support for Shantou to catch up in the construction of special economic zone in the new era. At present, Shantou is in a strategic opportunity period of "right time, right place, with right people". Its high-quality development will provide a broad stage for the innovation and development of Chaoshan business people.
At the meeting, Hong Jiangyou, chairman of the 21st Teochew International Federation and chairman of Chaoshang Economical Promotion Association of Hainan Province, Lin Ganhua, chairwoman of American Chinese United Association Southern California, Li Yibiao, chairman of the International Teochew Youth Federation and chairman of Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Chamber of Commerce, Fang Junhong, executive chairman of Federation of Canada Teochow Community Organizations, vice chairman of Guangdong Federation of Industry & Commerce, and Huang Junhui, chairman (president) of Shantou Federation of Industry & Commerce delivered a speech in order and presented their suggestions and comments on the high-quality development of Shantou.

汕头召开2023年汕头市海内外潮商会长座谈会
4月6日，我市召开2023年汕头市海内外潮商会长座谈会，与近百位海内外潮商会长和潮商代表畅叙乡情、共谋合作、共话未来。
市委书记温湛滨在讲话中指出，潮商是汕头发展最宝贵的资源、最珍贵的金字招牌、最可倚重的强大力量，也是推动汕头在新时代经济特区建设中迎头赶上的重要支撑。当前，汕头处于“天时地利人和”的战略机遇期，汕头高质量发展将为潮商创新发展提供广阔舞台，广大潮商回汕头投资兴业恰逢其时、正当其势，大有可为、大有作为。
会上，第二十一届国际潮团总会主席、海南省潮商经济促进会会长洪江游，美国南加州华人大联盟主席林淦花，国际潮青联合会会长、深圳市潮汕青年商会会长李奕标，加拿大潮属社团总会执行会长方俊洪，广东省工商联（总商会）副会长、汕头市工商联（总商会）主席（会长）黄俊辉依次发言，围绕汕头高质量发展提出意见建议。
