From April 17 to April 19, Bai Renjie, chairman of Taiwan Nongnu Union and executive director of Taiwan Storage & Transport Corporation, led an economic and trade exchange delegation to visit Shantou.

During their stay in Shantou, the exchange delegation mainly inspected Nan’ao’s small-scale trade with Taiwan, and fishery farming, etc., actively promoted trade flows between Shantou and Taiwan, and strengthened cooperation on projects such as fishery farming, and the construction of Shantou-Taiwan Youth Entrepreneurship Park. In addition, the exchange delegation visited the Third Primary School of Waima (the former site of the Lingdong Tongwen School), and listened to the story of Qiu Fengjia, a patriot who fought against Japan and protected Taiwan, and who founded the Lingdong Tongwen School. Thus, the exchange delegation developed a deeper understanding of Qiu Fengjia's main activities and contributions in Shantou. Besides, the exchange delegation visited the Port-opening Area of Shantou Small Park, personally appreciating the profound cultural heritage and development potential of Shantou.

　　台湾经贸交流团来汕参访

　　4月17日至4月19日，台湾农努联盟理事长、台湾储运股份有限公司执行董事白仁杰带领经贸交流团来我市参访。

　　在汕期间，交流团主要考察了南澳对台小额贸易、渔业养殖等情况，积极推动汕台两地贸易往来、渔业养殖、汕台青年创业园区建设等项目合作。此外，交流团还前往外马三小（“岭东同文学堂”旧址），聆听抗日护台爱国志士丘逢甲主持创办“岭东同文学堂”的故事，深入了解丘逢甲在汕头的主要活动和贡献，并来到小公园开埠区，切身感受汕头深厚的文化底蕴和发展潜力。
