Recently, the "Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center Project for High-Value Integrated Utilization of Decommissioned Power Batteries" ("Decommissioned Battery Project") recommended and submitted by Shantou City was initiated with the approval of Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The Project was the only one selected in eastern, western and northern Guangdong, and it was also selected as a key project in the new energy storage industry in Guangdong Province.

The "Decommissioned Battery Project" is led by Guangdong Guanghua Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guanghua Sci-Tech"), Guangdong Province's first leading enterprise in comprehensive recycling of decommissioned power batteries approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. Guanghua Sci-Tech allies with Zhuhai Zhongli New Energy Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. and the University of Science and Technology Beijing as the initiators. They will break through key technological bottlenecks in the whole-chain of the cascade utilization, dismantling and recycling of decommissioned power batteries, and leverage the engineering capabilities of member institutions to carry out engineering verification of corresponding technologies, open up the linkage channel between basic research, applied basic research, and the engineering and industrialization of achievements, and promote the development of technology and industry in the field of integrated utilization of decommissioned power batteries in Guangdong Province.

　　汕头“退役电池项目”入选广东省工程研究中心项目

　　近日，由我市推荐报送的“退役动力蓄电池高值化综合利用广东省工程研究中心项目”（简称“退役电池项目”）经省发展改革委审核同意开展组建。该项目是粤东西北地区唯一入选项目，同时也入选广东省新型储能产业重点项目。

　　“退役电池项目”由广东省内首家获工信部认可的退役动力电池回收综合利用龙头企业——广东光华科技股份有限公司牵头，联合珠海中力新能源科技有限公司和北京科技大学作为发起单位，将打通退役动力蓄电池梯级利用、拆解、再生利用全链条关键技术瓶颈，并借助成员单位的工程化能力，进行相应技术的工程化验证，打通基础研究、应用基础研究及成果工程化、产业化之间的联动通道，推动我省退役动力蓄电池综合利用领域技术和产业发展。
