On May 13, the delegation members from the 10th Conference of Friendship of Overseas Chinese Associations who were visiting Guangdong Province arrived in Shantou City, and visited the Shantou Port-opening Cultural Exhibition Hall, the Shantou Overseas Remittance Museum, and the Small Park Historical and Cultural Block, having an up-close experience of Shantou's intangible heritage culture.

The presidents of overseas Chinese associations who visited Guangdong Province this time came from many countries and regions around the world. They visited Guangzhou, Chaozhou, Shantou, Jiangmen and other regions, for the purpose of learning more about the new progress and achievements made in economic and social development in these regions. Liang Guanjun, head of the visiting delegation and chair of the US East Coast Federation of Chinese Associations, said that the members of the delegation saw the development and changes in Shantou and felt the sincere attachment of the ancestors of overseas Chinese people of Chaoshan origin to their motherland and hometown. He hoped that the members of the visiting delegation would develop a deeper understanding of Shantou through this visit, actively act as publicity agents Guangdong and Shantou in their host countries, and encourage more overseas Chinese people to seek business opportunities, to invest and flourish in Shantou, and to contribute to Guangdong's high-quality development.

　　5月13日，第十届世界华侨华人社团联谊大会广东参访团走进汕头，前往汕头开埠文化陈列馆、汕头侨批文物馆、小公园历史文化街区参观考察，近距离感受汕头非遗文化。

　　此次赴粤参访的华侨华人社团负责人来自世界多个国家和地区，他们先后前往广州、潮州、汕头、江门等地参观访问，深入了解各地经济社会发展取得的新进展新成效。参访团团长、美国美东华人社团联合总会主席梁冠军表示，参访团成员看到汕头的发展变化，感受到潮汕华侨华人先辈对祖国、对家乡的真挚感情。他希望参访团成员通过这次考察加深对汕头的了解，在所在国积极当好广东、汕头的宣传员，带动更多华侨华人来汕头投资兴业、寻找商机，为广东高质量发展作出华侨华人贡献。
