Recently, China National Intellectual Property Administration issued an announcement on the approval and registration of certification trademarks, among which Shantou’s “Leiling Lychee” and “Leiling Wuye Lychee” were awarded the geographical indication certification trademark registration certificates. These are Shantou’s two new geographical indication certification trademarks after the approval of Shantou’s first geographical indication certification trademark "Nan'ao Laver" in 2020.

Leiling Town is not only a famous lychee producing area in China, but also the main producing area of medium- and late-maturing lychees in Guangdong Province. Leiling Town has 44,000 mu of lychee cultivation area, with 0.9 mu of lychee per capita, 23,800 mu of pollution-free lychee production base certified at the national and provincial levels, 1,000 mu of standardized demonstration zone, 2,000 mu of export production base, and 5,000 tons of Leiling lychees - pollution-free agricultural products certified by the Product Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

　　汕头新增两件地理标志证明商标

　　近日，国家知识产权局发布证明商标核准注册公告，我市“雷岭荔枝”“雷岭乌叶荔枝”获得地理标志证明商标注册证书。这是继2020年汕头市首件地理标志证明商标“南澳紫菜”获批之后，新增的2件地理标志证明商标。

　　雷岭是全国著名荔枝产地，也是我省中晚熟荔枝主产地。全镇荔枝种植面积达4.4万亩，人均拥有荔枝0.9亩，经国家级、省级认证的无公害荔枝生产基地达2.38万亩，标准化示范区1000亩，出口生产基地2000亩，经农业农村部产品质量安全中心认证的无公害农产品雷岭荔枝产量达5000吨。
