On May 24, the “Shining Hong Kong • Shantou Comeback” Cultural Festival, which was sponsored by Shantou Municipal People's Government and co-organized by Shantou Overseas Friendship Association and the Federation of HK Shantou Community Organizations, kicked off in Hong Kong. The Cultural Festival will continue until May 31. By organizing a variety of themed events with rich contents during the Cultural Festival, Shantou will tell its true stories well and make its voices heard.

Shantou Culture and Art Exhibition of Qiaopi (Correspondences between Overseas Chinese and People at home) is the “big story” of this Cultural Festival. The on-site “Qiaopi Author” and “Qiaopi Bearer”, as well as the standard three-piece set -- bath cloth, bamboo basket, and umbrella props, would the visitors to immerse themselves in the strong Teochew customs and overseas Chinese recalling. The 46 boards on display consist of three sections, which provide a systematic and comprehensive introduction of more than 160 years of history of Qiaopi cultural relics through innumerable precious historical pictures complemented by written narratives. Nearly 60 precious overseas Chinese Qiaopi and 30 pieces of "Piggy Money (token)" produced in Teochew kilns are also displayed in the showcase.

　　“耀动香江·又见汕头”文化节在香港开幕

　　5月24日，由汕头市人民政府主办，汕头海外联谊会、香港汕头社团总会联合承办的“耀动香江·又见汕头”文化节在香港拉开帷幕。文化节将持续至5月31日，期间通过开展内容丰富、形式多样的主题活动，向外界讲好汕头故事，传播汕头声音。

　　汕头侨批文化艺术展是此次文化节的“重头戏”。现场“写批人”“批脚”，以及标配三件套——浴布、市篮和雨伞道具，带领观众沉浸式感受浓浓的潮味和侨味。展出的46幅展板分为三大板块，通过大量珍贵历史图片辅以文字叙述，系统全面介绍曾流传达160多年的侨批文物历史，。陈列柜中同时展示了近60封珍贵侨批实物和30枚产自潮州窑的“猪仔钱”。
