On the morning of June 19, the 2023 Shantou • Taiwan Week event kicked off at Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Center. This was the first time Shantou hosted the Taiwan Week event, signaling a new step forward by Shantou and Taiwan in exchanges and cooperation.

The 2023 Shantou • Taiwan Week event, with the theme of "deepening exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Taiwan, and promoting the integrated development of cross-Straits relations", would consist of a series of activities, including the Nan'ao Forum Theme Discussion, Shantou-Taiwan Agricultural Cooperation and Exchange Conference, Shantou-Taiwan Agricultural Product Exhibition and Selling, "Shantou in the Eyes of Taiwanese Compatriots and Taiwanese Business People", "Taiwanese Media Tour in Shantou", and the Taiwanese Youth Camp for the Experience of Chaoshan Culture, for the purpose of strengthening cross-Straits economic and trade cooperation as well as cultural exchanges and people-to-people contacts, enhancing the kinship and well-being of compatriots of the two sides, and promoting peaceful cross-Straits relations.

　　6月19日上午，2023汕头·台湾周活动在潮汕历史文化博览中心开幕，这是我市首次举办台湾周活动，标志着汕台两地交流合作迈出了新的步伐。

　　2023汕头·台湾周活动以“深化汕台交流合作 推动两岸融合发展”为主题，将举办南澳论坛主题研讨、汕台农业合作交流会、汕台农产品展销、“台胞台商看汕头”、“台湾媒体汕头行”、台湾青年潮汕文化体验营等一系列活动，旨在加强两岸经贸文化往来、增进两岸同胞亲情福祉、推动两岸关系和平发展。
