From July 5 to 6, Vu Viet Anh, Consul General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, and his entourage visited Shantou, learned more about the economic and social developments in Shantou, and explored new paths of exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Vietnam.

Vu Viet Anh said that economic and trade exchanges and people-to-people contacts between Shantou and Vietnam were active, resulting in a solid foundation and bright prospects for deepening cooperation. The Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou would continue to play its role as a bridge and bond, vigorously promote Shantou, and actively drive the substantive development of multi-field exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. During their Shantou, Vu Viet Anh and his entourage also visited the Expo Center of Chaoshan History and Culture and the Small Park Historical and Cultural Block, learned more about the history of the port-opening in Shantou, experienced firsthand the unique charm of Chaoshan culture and the new urban landscape of Shantou Special Economic Zone, and had discussions and exchanges with relevant departments of Shantou City.

　　7月5日至6日，越南驻广州总领事武越英一行莅汕访问，深入了解汕头经济社会发展情况，探索汕越两地交流合作新路径。

　　武越英表示，汕头与越南间经贸往来和民间交往活跃，两地深化合作基础良好、前景广阔。越南驻广州总领事馆将继续发挥好桥梁纽带作用，大力宣传推介汕头，积极推动两地多领域交流合作取得实质性发展。在汕期间，武越英一行还前往潮汕历史文化博览中心及小公园历史文化街区参观，深入了解汕头开埠历史，亲身感受潮汕文化的独特魅力和经济特区的城市新貌，并与我市有关部门进行座谈交流。
