On July 20, the starting ceremony of the 1st East, West and North Guangdong Intellectual Property Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, which was jointly organized by Guangdong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation (Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Administration) and Shantou Municipal People's Government, was held in Shantou.

Under the theme of “Setting Benchmarks for Fostering Intellectual Property, and Contributing to Innovative Development of East, West, and North Guangdong”, the Competition caters to the enterprises or groups from east, west, and north Guangdong and the enterprises or groups which intend to implement projects in the cities, for the purpose of attracting the gathering of innovation, investment, intellectual property and other resources and factors, cultivating new growth drivers, and promoting high-quality development of east, west, and north Guangdong. At the starting ceremony, Guangdong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation and Shantou Municipal People's Government signed a cooperation framework agreement. The two sides would focus on deepening cooperation in creating new strengths in business environment, making Shantou known for its quality products, creating a national pilot demonstration city for the construction of an intellectual property powerhouse, promoting high-quality industrial development, and enhancing market regulation capabilities, and jointly promoting high-quality development of the work related to the administration for market regulation.

　　首届粤东西北知识产权创新创业大赛在汕启动

　　7月20日，由广东省市场监督管理局（知识产权局）与汕头市人民政府联合举办的首届粤东西北知识产权创新创业大赛启动仪式在汕头举行。

　　本次大赛以“树立知识产权培育标杆 助力粤东西北创新发展”为主题，面向粤东西北地区企业或团体和有意向在粤东西北地市落地项目的企业或团体，吸引创新、投资、知识产权等资源要素集聚，塑造发展新动能，助推粤东西北高质量发展。启动仪式上，广东省市场监督管理局与汕头市人民政府签订合作框架协议，双方将重点在争创营商环境新优势、打造质量强市、争创国家知识产权强国建设试点示范城市、促进产业高质量发展和提升市场监管能力等方面深化合作，共同推进市场监管工作高质量发展。
