On the morning of August 3, the 2023 Shantou Chenghai Thin-Shell Food Culture Tourism Festival kicked off in Yanhong Town, Chenghai District. The event leveraged the thin-shell food culture to create a thin shell food tourist route in Shantou, gathering popularity and "network traffic" for the integrated development of culture and tourism.

The event adopted the “main venue and sub-venue coordination, online + offline” model, and invited multiple influencer anchors to conduct filming and live-streaming, creating a food feast for guests from all over the world. At the main venue of the opening ceremony, in addition to setting up booths selling Yanhong specialty foods such as salty thin-shell rice, smoked duck breast, and licorice and peaches, there were also Yanhong thin-shell tourist route promotions, “A Bite of Yanhong Food” series of food video posting, and influencers' Yanhong food place, etc., attracting citizens and tourists to come and experience. At the sub-venue of Zhuangxiong Thin-Shell Food Park, there was a live demonstration of “Traditional Thin-Shell Rice Production Techniques (Yanhong)”, the municipal intangible cultural heritage item in Shantou. Various old objects in the Thin-Shell Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum recreated scenes of traditional thin-shell rice production, bringing about a unique experience for visitors.

　　2023汕头澄海薄壳美食文化旅游节开幕

　　8月3日上午，2023汕头澄海薄壳美食文化旅游节在澄海区盐鸿镇开幕。活动借力薄壳美食文化，打造汕头薄壳美食旅游线路，为文旅融合发展聚拢人气和“流量”。

　　活动采取“主分会场联动、线上+线下”的模式，邀请多位网红主播开展拍摄、直播，为八方来宾打造一场美食盛宴。在开幕式主会场，除了设置盐灶薄壳米、熏鸭脯、甘草拖桃等盐鸿特色美食展销摊位外，还有盐鸿薄壳旅游线路推广、“寻味盐鸿”系列美食视频发布、盐鸿美食地图打卡等，吸引市民和游客前来体验。在壮雄薄壳美食园分会场，市级非遗项目“薄壳米传统制作技艺（盐鸿）”进行现场展示，薄壳非遗馆里各种老物件重现了旧时薄壳米制作的情景，为游客带来独特的体验。
