On the morning of August 7, Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) held the opening ceremony for the 2023 school year on the newly completed South Campus. More than 500 vigorous and energetic freshmen were filled with a spirit of hope, embarking on the journey of cherishing, pursuing and fulfilling their dreams.

On behalf of all teachers, staff and students, Gong Xingao, President of GTIIT and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, extended warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to the new students of the 2023 school year. He wished the students to bravely face the unknown and challenges during their four years of university life, to give full play to their talents in creating miracles, to open the door to success through hard work and diligence, and to become masters in their respective fields. At the ceremony, the representatives of incumbent students and the representatives of the 2023 freshmen took turns to deliver speeches, sharing their colorful and fulfilling academic, research, and extracurricular experiences, expressing their commitment to achieving greater personal achievements at GTIIT and growing together with the GTIIT community.

广以举行2023年开学典礼

　　8月7日上午，广东以色列理工学院（以下简称“广以”）在新落成的南校区举行2023年开学典礼，500多名新生以蓬勃向上的青春朝气，满怀憧憬开启逐梦之旅。

　　广东以色列理工学院校长、中科院院士龚新高代表广以全体师生员工，向2023级新同学表示热烈欢迎和衷心祝贺。他祝愿同学们在四年的大学生活中勇敢面对未知和挑战，施展才华、绽放精彩，用刻苦和勤奋叩启成功之门，成为各自领域内的大师。典礼上，在校生代表和2023级新生代表依次上台发言，分享多彩充实的学术、科研与课外生活，表示将在广以成就更好的自我，与广以一同成长。
