On the morning of August 13, Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, met with Chen Xiaowei, President of the Italian Chinese School Association, and her delegation at the reception hall of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on promoting cultural education and economic and trade cooperation between Shantou and overseas Chinese in Italy.

Wen Zhanbin gave a brief introduction to the developments of Shantou’s overseas Chinese language education. He hoped that the two sides would give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen communication and connection, deepen practical cooperation, and open up “online + offline” teaching channels for overseas Chinese language education, for the purpose of enhancing more overseas students' learning and understanding of Chinese culture, and jointly making positive contributions to the deepening of exchanges and cooperation between China and Italy as well as between China and Europe. Chen Xiaowei said that the Italian Chinese School Association would give full play to its role as a platform, leverage Shantou's rich resources and innovative experience in overseas Chinese language education, further expand the education and teaching methods of Italian Chinese schools and even European Chinese schools, promote the high-quality development of overseas Chinese language education, and help Shantou enhance its popularity and reputation overseas.

意大利中文学校联合总会会长陈小微一行莅汕

　　8月13日上午，市委书记温湛滨在市委迎宾厅会见意大利中文学校联合总会会长陈小微一行，双方就推进意大利华侨华人与汕头文化教育和经贸合作等方面进行深入交流。

　　温湛滨简要介绍了汕头海外华文教育发展情况，希望双方发挥各自优势，加强沟通对接，深化务实合作，打通海外华文教育“线上+线下”教学渠道，增进更多海外学生对中华文化的学习和理解，共同为深化中意、中欧交流合作作出积极贡献。陈小微表示将发挥意大利中文学校联合总会的平台作用，借助汕头海外华文教育的丰富资源和创新经验，进一步拓宽意大利华校乃至欧洲华校的教育教学方式，推动海外华文教育事业高质量发展，助力汕头提升海外知名度和美誉度。
