On the evening of August 20, under the theme of “Meet in Summer，Enjoy in Shantou”for the youth of Chaoshan Origin, the 2023 Chaoshan Cultural Experience Tour for Youth of Chaoshan Origin from Overseas, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan kicked off. Showing warm hospitality, the organizers offered the beef hotpot to the students and their parents who participated in the event, and demonstrated to and taught them intangible cultural heritage skills of making hand-pounded beef balls.

The event was sponsored by the Information Office of Shantou Municipal People's Government and the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Overseas Chinese Affairs, and organized by GDToday and Shantou Media Convergence Group. A total of 10 groups of families participated in the event, which were from the Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, etc. From August 20 to 22, they will socialize and exchange with Shantou students, renew their love for their hometown, visit overseas Chinese culture attractions such as Zhanglin Old Harbor and Chen Cihong’s Former Residence, experience Chaoshan intangible cultural heritage such as paper-cutting, transfer by rubbing, and “Stepping out of the Garden” folklore, taste the rich and diverse Chaoshan gourmet specialties, and appreciate the unique charm of Chaoshan culture during the time of “One Belt and One Road” root-seeking tour.

　　2023年海外及港澳台潮籍青少年潮汕文化体验行活动开启

　　8月20日晚，“侨遇一夏 玩美汕头”——2023年海外及港澳台潮籍青少年潮汕文化体验行活动开启，主办方以牛肉火锅欢迎参与活动的学生、家长，并展示教授手打牛肉丸非遗技艺。

　　此次活动由汕头市政府新闻办、市侨务局主办，GDToday、汕头融媒集团承办，共有10组家庭参加，分别来自菲律宾、日本和香港等地，也有台胞家庭。8月20日至22日，他们将与汕头学生联谊交流、畅叙乡情，畅游樟林古港、陈慈黉故居等侨文化胜地，体验剪纸、拓印、“出花园”民俗等潮汕非遗，品尝丰富多样的潮汕特色美食，在一场情牵“一带一路” 的寻根之旅中感受独特的潮汕文化魅力。
