The seventh day of the seventh lunar month is the Chinese traditional festival Qixi (the seventh evening of the seventh month when according to legend the Cowherd and the Weaver Maid meet in Heaven). On the morning of August 22, the 2023 Event for Experiencing the Intangible Cultural Heritage Folklore of “Stepping out of the Garden” Ceremony was held at Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Center.

“Stepping out of the Garden” is a traditional folk cultural activity in Chaoshan, with a history of over 400 years. It was included in the provincial intangible cultural heritage list in 2018. At the event, 48 families of Chaoshan origin from the local region, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas participated in the Ceremony of Coming- aged- adult, “Stepping out of the Garden”. Through bathing and dressing ceremonies, thanks-giving ceremonies, the ceremonies of “jumping over the bamboo dustpan” and “eating a sumptuous feast”, reciting the “Young China”, and stepping out of the garden, they experienced the cultural customs of Chaoshan's intangible heritage folklore and appreciated the unique charm of fine traditional Chinese culture.

　　汕头举办2023年非遗民俗“出花园”仪式体验活动

　　农历七月初七是中华民族传统节日七夕。8月22日上午，2023年汕头市非遗民俗“出花园”仪式体验活动在潮汕历史文化博览中心举行。

　　“出花园”是潮汕传统民俗文化活动，至今已有四百多年历史，2018年被列入省级非物质文化遗产名录项目。活动中，来自本地以及港台地区、海外的48个潮籍家庭共同参加“出花园”成人礼，通过沐浴更衣礼、感恩礼、跳胶掠、“头彩食”仪式、诵读《少年中国说》、步出花园门，体验潮汕非遗民俗的人文风情，感受中华优秀传统文化的独特魅力。
