From September 8 to 10, the fifth session of Nan'ao Science Conference was held in Nan'ao County, Shantou City. Since its launch and first session on February 8 this year, in just over half a year, five sessions of Nan'ao Science Conference have been successfully, for which 220 experts and scholars (including 46 academicians) have been invited to Shantou to conduct academic seminars.

The academicians and other experts attending this conference believe that by making Nan'ao Science Conference a high-end brand with international influence, we can comprehensively strengthening basic research and academic activities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, create a relaxed and harmonious academic exchange atmosphere, and accelerate the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a hub of basic scientific research and original innovation with global influence, which will play an important role in supporting China build itself into a world leader in science and technology, and in leading global innovation-driven development.

　　9月8日至10日，南澳科学会议第五次会议在我市南澳县举行。自今年2月8日启动暨第一次会议举办以来，仅半年多时间，南澳科学会议已成功举办5场，邀请了包括46位院士在内的220位专家学者莅汕开展学术研讨活动。

　　参加本次研讨会的院士专家认为，通过将南澳科学会议打造成具有国际影响力的高端品牌，全面强化粤港澳大湾区的基础研究学术活动，营造宽松和谐的学术交流氛围，加快将粤港澳大湾区建设成为有全球影响力的基础科学研究和原始创新高地，在支撑我国科技强国建设、引领全球创新发展过程中发挥重要作用。
