On the afternoon of October 30, the delegation of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology Malaysia and the Malaysia Teochew Chamber of Commerce visited Shantou and had exchanges with relevant leaders of Shantou on deepening educational exchanges and cooperation, tapping the potential of overseas Chinese in the new era, and working together to promote industrial development.

During the meeting, Mayor Zeng Fengbao expressed his heartfelt thanks to Liow Tiong Lai, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology Malaysia, and Wu Yuansheng, President of the Malaysia Teochew Chamber of Commerce, for their consistent efforts in supporting the construction and development of Shantou, and sincerely invited them and other members of the visiting delegation to attend the 22nd Teochew International Convention and the 10th World Chaoshan Entrepreneurs Convention, joining hands with global Teochew people in ensuring the success of the two grand events, and pursuing common development.

Liow Tiong Lai said that this time the visiting delegation from the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology Malaysia signed a framework agreement on friendly cooperation with Shantou University, hoping to establish a platform with Shantou University to further promote exchange programs and joint courses for teachers and students, and deepen cooperation between the two universities. Wu Yuansheng said that the Malaysia Teochew Chamber of Commerce would continue to pay attention to and contribute to the economic and social development of their hometown Shantou and better tell the story of Shantou.

　　10月30日下午，马来西亚拉曼理工大学及马来西亚潮州工商总会访问团一行莅汕，与我市就深化教育交流合作、做好新时代“侨”的文章、携手推进产业发展等进行交流。

　　市长曾风保在会见中向马来西亚拉曼理工大学董事长廖中莱和马来西亚潮州工商总会会长吴源盛一直以来关心支持汕头建设发展表示衷心感谢，并诚邀他们及访问团成员等明年前来参加第二十二届国际潮团联谊年会和第十届国际潮商大会，与全球潮人共襄盛举、共谋发展。

　　廖中莱表示，这次马来西亚拉曼理工大学访问团和汕头大学签订友好合作框架协议，希望能与汕头大学建立一个平台，进一步推动教师、学生的交流计划及联办课程等，深化两校合作。吴源盛表示，马来西亚潮州工商总会将继续关注和助力家乡经济社会发展，讲好汕头故事。
