On the morning of November 3, a delegation led by Lin Jiaguang, President of the Federated Teochew Associations of Malaysia, visited Shantou, and had in-depth exchanges with relevant leaders of Shantou on further strengthening cooperation in the fields of culture, education, economy and trade.

During the meeting, Mayor Zeng Fengbao hoped that President Lin Jiaguang and other members of the Delegation would, as always, continue to care for and support Shantou, and often visit Shantou for inspection and exchange, leisure and vacation, food tasting, investment and development, and seek opportunities for cooperation and development. Lin Jiaguang said that the Federated Teochew Associations of Malaysia would continue to give full play to its role as a bridge and bond, spare no effort to promote the good development trend of Shantou, promote the fine traditional culture of Chaoshan, keep China in mind and develop deep feelings for their hometown Shantou, and promote in-depth exchanges, intensified cooperation and close contacts between Malaysia and Shantou in education, culture, and industry, etc., to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
