Recently, after more than 3 years of planning and construction, the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) had successfully landed Haojiang District, Shantou City. This marks that the Shantou Cable Station has taken a solid step towards becoming a world-class information hub, and the status of Shantou as a communications hub in the Asia-Pacific region will also be further enhanced.

The ADC is led by China Telecom, and it was jointly initiated by China Telecom and six mainstream overseas operators from Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand. It has a total length of 9,400 kilometers and a design capacity of 20 Tbps. It is a high-speed channel that combines with the Asia Pacific Cable Network-2 (APCN-2), Southeast Asia-Japan Submarine Cable, and Asia-Europe Submarine Cable to provide multiple routing options in Southeast Asia. China Telecom's Shantou Cable Station is the only landing station for this submarine cable system in mainland China.

　　亚洲直达海缆在汕成功登陆

　　近日，历经3年多规划建设的亚洲直达海缆在汕头市濠江区成功登陆，标志着汕头海缆站向成为世界级信息枢纽迈出坚实一步，汕头在亚太地区的通信枢纽地位也将进一步提升。

　　亚洲直达海缆由中国电信主导，联合日本、中国香港、新加坡、越南、菲律宾、泰国六家主流境外运营商发起，全长9400公里，设计容量为20T，与亚太二号海缆、东南亚-日本海缆和亚欧海缆相互组合，提供东南亚地区多路由选择的高速信道。中国电信汕头海缆站是该海缆系统在中国大陆的唯一登陆站。
