From November 13th to 15th, the 11th International Teochew Youth Convention was held at Beijing National Convention Center. This was the first time that the International Teochew Youth Convention held a grand event in the capital of the country of origin of Teochew people. More than 200 associations from more than 20 countries and regions, as well as more than 1,500 domestic and international young Teochew elites from 28 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government of China, gathered in Beijing to jointly explore ways of development of the International Teochew Youth Convention.

Lai Xiaowei, Deputy Secretary and Secretary-General of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, led a Shantou youth delegation to the Convention and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of the four cities in the Chaoshan region. He pointed out that where there is a sea, there are Teochew people; and that generation after generation of Teochew people have the courage to forge ahead and the mettle to win, creating innumerable miracles that attract the attention of the world, and making the Teochew people brand and the Teochew people group famous all over the world. Currently, Shantou is mobilizing the whole city to intensively and methodically make every effort to prepare for the 22nd Teochew International Convention and the 10th World Chaoshan Entrepreneurs Convention in 2024, striving to host an "unconventional" event. We warmly invite all Teochew people from home and abroad to meet in Shantou. "See you in Shantou in 2024! Be there or be square".

　　汕头代表团参加第十一届国际潮青联谊年会

　　11月13日至15日，第十一届国际潮青联谊年会在北京国家会议中心举行。这是国际潮青首次在潮人祖（籍）国首都举办的一届盛会，聚集了来自20多个国家和地区200多家社团以及国内28个省、自治区、直辖市的1500多位海内外潮籍青年精英，共商国际潮青发展大计。

　　汕头市委副书记、秘书长赖小卫率汕头青年代表团出席本届年会，并代表潮汕四市在开幕式上致辞。他指出，有海的地方就有潮人，一代又一代潮人敢于拼搏、勇于奋斗，创造了无数个让世人瞩目的奇迹，让潮汕人这个品牌、这个族群享誉全球。当前，汕头正举全市之力，全力以赴、紧锣密鼓、有条不紊地筹备2024年第二十二届国际潮团联谊年会和第十届国际潮商大会，努力办好一场“不一样”的盛会，盛情邀请广大海内外潮人潮青“2024，汕头见！”
