On December 9, the first session of the first scientific committee of the Nan'ao Science Conference and the first joint session of the Nan'ao Science Conference were held in Shantou, which deliberated and determined the theme and annual plan for the 2024 Nan'ao Science Conference, and devised a solid institutional foundation for the orderly, efficient and dynamic development of the Nan'ao Science Conference, thereby building the Nan'ao Science Conference into a high-end academic exchange brand in basic research fields with academic appeal, and contributing to building Shantou into a national innovative city and regional innovation center.

Since this year, 7 sessions of the Nan'ao Science Conference have been successfully held, which invited 282 experts and scholars (including 52 academicians) to gather in Shantou to explore and testify  such fields as discipline development, basic research, construction of research centers for fundamental disciplines, major science and technology infrastructure projects, quantum materials and regulation, and efficient photoelectric integration and application in the colleges and universities in Guangdong Province.

　　12月9日，南澳科学会议第一届科学委员会第一次会议、南澳科学会议第一次联席会议在我市召开，研究确定2024年会议主题和年度会议计划，为南澳科学会议有序、高效、充满活力发展谋划坚实制度基础，努力把南澳科学会议打造成为具有学术号召力的基础研究领域高端学术交流品牌，助力汕头建设国家创新型城市和区域创新中心。

　　今年以来，南澳科学会议已成功举办7场，邀请包括52位院士在内的282位专家学者集聚汕头，分别就广东高校学科建设、基础研究、基础学科研究中心建设、重大科技基础设施专项、量子材料与调控、光电高效融合与应用等领域进行研讨和论证。
