Recently, the Shanwei-Shantou South section of the Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway successfully passed the operational safety assessment, indicating that the Shanwei-Shantou South section of the Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway has officially met the requirements for putting into service.

The Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway is the first high-speed railway in Guangdong Province whose operational safety was jointly assessed by China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. and the Department of Transport of Guangdong Province. As an important channel connecting eastern Guangdong with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway will not only shorten the spatial distance between eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta, but also strongly promoted the new economic development of the areas along the Railway, playing an important supporting role in the building of the Maritime Silk Road.

　　汕汕铁路汕尾至汕头南段通过运营安全评估

　　近日，新建汕汕高铁汕尾至汕头南段顺利通过运营安全评估，标志着汕汕高铁汕尾至汕头南段正式具备开通运营条件。

　　汕汕高铁是广东省首条由中国铁路广州局集团有限公司和广东省交通运输厅联合开展运营安全评估的高速铁路。作为粤东地区联系粤港澳大湾区的重要通道，汕汕高铁在缩短粤东与珠三角之间空间距离的同时，将有力助推沿线地区经济新发展，对海上丝绸之路建设有着重要的支撑作用。
