Recently, the Award Ceremony of Shantou Jinping District International Qiaopi Writing Invitational Contest under the theme of "overseas Chinese expressing their hometown love through Qiaopi writing" (Qiaopi, comprising a letter and a remittance certificate, served as a bond between Chinese emigrants and their families back home) was held at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion in the Small Park. The representatives of teachers and students from various schools in Jinping District welcomed the presidents of overseas Chinese schools and the leaders of the associations of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs from France, Pakistan, Portugal, Germany, Thailand, Greece, Australia and other countries. They got together joyously to renew their friendship.

Since its launch in September this year, this Invitational Contest has attracted enthusiastic participation of people from 45 overseas Chinese schools in 19 countries and regions, including Thailand, France, Pakistan, Australia, South Korea, and Indonesia, as well as from the schools in Jinping District, Shantou City. After careful review by the organizing committee, 30 contestants won the Gold Award; 40 contestants won the Silver Awards; 78 contestants won the Bronze Award; and 438 contestants won the Merit Prize. These prize-winning works will be exhibited in Shantou Small Park and on the special website for the Contest (www.qiaopi.cc).

　　汕头市金平区国际侨批书写邀请赛颁奖仪式举行

　　近日，“一笔写侨心”汕头市金平区国际侨批书写邀请赛颁奖仪式在小公园中山纪念亭举行。来自法国、巴基斯坦、葡萄牙、德国、泰国、希腊、澳大利亚等国家的华校校长、侨商会领袖和金平区各学校师生代表欢聚一堂，畅叙友情。

　　本次活动自今年9月启动以来，吸引了泰国、法国、巴基斯坦、澳大利亚、韩国、印尼等19个国家和地区45所华校以及我市金平区内各学校热情参与。经过组委会认真评审，共评出金奖30名，银奖40名，铜奖78名，优秀奖438名。这些获奖作品将在我市小公园和比赛专题网站（www.qiaopi.cc）进行展览。
