Recently, the List of on the 2023 Guangdong Provincial Forest Chief-guarded Green Parks was announced, which included 15 parks including Shantou Nan'ao Island National Forest Park.

Nan'ao Island National Forest Park is located on the western peninsula of Nan'ao Island. It is exercising jurisdiction over an area of 13.7 square kilometers (20,600 mu), with a forest cover rate of 92.3%. It is the only island national forest park in Guangdong Province. Currently, it has more than 1,400 species of tropical and subtropical plants in 102 families. At the same time, the Forest Park is also a paradise for wild animals, with more than 50 species of rare animals inhabiting the forest.

　　汕头南澳岛国家森林公园上榜2023年广东省林长绿美园名单

　　日前，2023年广东省林长绿美园名单公布，我市南澳海岛国家森林公园等15个单位榜上有名。

　　南澳海岛国家森林公园位于南澳西半岛，辖区总面积13.7平方公里（2.06万亩），森林覆盖率达 92.3%，是广东省唯一的海岛国家森林公园，现有热带、亚热带植物102科、1400多种。同时森林公园又是野生动物的乐园，栖息于林间的珍稀动物有50多种。
