On the morning of January 12, the 2024 World Teochew Cuisine Conference was opened at the Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center. This is the first time that Shantou City hosted a world-class Teochew cuisine expo.

The expo set up three exhibition areas with hundreds of booths, integrating with viewing, playing, tasting and other experiences. Among others, the exhibition area for A Bite of Shantou’s Food was set up at Binhai Plaza, which mainly showcased famous Teochew cuisine, famous snacks, Gongfu tea, and Teochew music, etc. The food ingredients supply chain exhibition area was mainly concentrated in the second-floor exhibition hall, which displayed prepared dishes such as meat and seafood, as well as smart cooking equipment and kitchen supplies, etc. The Greater Bay Area food carnival exhibition area was set up at the Yingge Plaza, which showcased time-honored brands, influencers and other catering enterprises from Chaoshan area and the Greater Bay Area. This expo also attracted the participation of food industry associations, leading catering companies, as well as well-known food consultants, experts and scholars from all over the world, and it would host the World Teochew Cuisine Chefs Demonstration Contest, and the Teochew Prepared Dishes Contest, etc.

　　2024世界潮汕菜大会开幕

　　1月12日上午，2024世界潮汕菜大会在潮汕历史文化博览中心开幕，这是我市首次举办世界级潮汕菜展会。

　　此次展会设有三大展区，展位数百个，集观看、游玩、品尝等体验于一体。其中，品味汕头展区在滨海广场，主要展示潮汕名菜、名小吃、工夫茶、潮乐等。食材供应链展区主要集中在二楼展馆，展示肉类、海鲜等预制菜，以及智能烹饪设备、餐厨用品等。大湾区美食嘉年华展区设在英歌广场，展示潮汕及湾区的老字号、网红等餐饮企业。此次展会还吸引了来自全球各地的美食行业协会、龙头餐饮企业、知名美食顾问及专家学者等参加，并将举办世界潮汕菜大师表演赛、潮汕菜预制菜出品大赛等。
