At 7:30 am on March 10, following the whistle, the 2024 Shantou "China Life Insurance Cup" New Year's Long-distance Running Race in Shantou City kicked off in the rain. Nearly 2000 participants set off from the Track-and-Field Ground of the People's Stadium in Shantou’s downtown area to jointly start their New Year's first running.

This Race used a 10-kilometer long iconic track, with the starting and ending points set at the People's Stadium. The entire track was set along the inner bay coastline of Haibin Road. After an intense race, among the group of men aged 55 or below, Lai Xiaobin crossed the finish line first and won the championship of the men's race in 32 minutes and 37 seconds; among the group of women aged 50 or below, Feng Lirong won the championship of the women's race in 40 minutes and 6 seconds; among the group of men aged over 55, Zhang Yunlai won the championship of the men's race in 44 minutes and 31 seconds; and among the group of women aged over 50, Qiu Zhihong won the championship of the women's race in 44 minutes and 56 seconds.

　　2024年汕头市新春长跑比赛开跑

　　3月10日上午7时半，2024年汕头市“中国人寿保险杯”新春长跑比赛在雨中鸣笛开跑，近2000名参赛选手从市区人民体育场田径场出发，共同开启新春第一跑。

　　本届比赛采用10公里长的标志性赛道，起终点均设在人民体育场，赛道全线沿着海滨路内海湾岸线铺开。经过激烈角逐，在男子55岁、女子50岁（含）以下组别中，赖晓斌以32分37秒的成绩率先冲过终点线，获得男子组冠军；俸丽荣以40分06秒的成绩获得女子组冠军。在男子55岁、女子50岁以上组别中，张允来以44分31秒的成绩获得男子组冠军；邱志红以44分56秒的成绩获得女子组冠军。
