From April 26th to 30th, Parksuwan Monthon, Secretary-General of the Office of the Private Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and Hai Yang, President of the Jinbu Languages School of Thailand, and their entourage visited Shantou, and held discussions and exchanges with relevant officials of Shantou City for the purpose of enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between Shantou and Thailand as well as consolidating and expanding educational exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Thailand.

Parksuwan Monthon thanked the Shantou Municipal People’s Government, Shantou Municipal Bureau of Education and Shantou University for all the efforts they have been making to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand, and for their great contribution to advancing the friendly relations and mutual understanding between the two countries, and hoped that the two sides would strengthen their exchanges and cooperation in vocational and technical education in the future. During their stay in Shantou, Parksuwan Monthon and his entourage visited the Sangpu Mountain Campus of Shantou University, the East Coast Campus of Shantou University, Shantou Pilot Zone for Economic and Cultural Cooperation with Overseas Chinese, and Nan'ao Island, signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shantou University, and inspected Guangdong Shantu Overseas Chinese High School, to learn more about work in the field of Chinese language education.

　　4月26日至30日，泰国教育部民校教育委员会秘书长孟佟·帕素万、泰国进步教育学院院长海阳等莅汕访问，与我市就增进汕泰相互了解和友谊，巩固拓展汕泰教育交流与合作进行了座谈交流。

　　孟佟·帕素万感谢汕头市政府、汕头市教育局和汕头大学一直以来为促进中泰两国的交流和合作作出的所有努力，对推进两国友好关系和相互了解做出的巨大贡献，希望双方未来在职业技术教育方面加大交流合作力度。在汕期间，孟佟·帕素万一行前往汕头大学桑浦山校区、汕头大学东海岸校区、汕头华侨经济文化合作试验区及南澳岛参观，与汕头大学签署合作备忘录，并深入广东汕头华侨中学考察，了解华文教育工作的有关情况。
