Recently, the 2024 China Cultural and Tourism Economy High-quality Development and Construction Summit was held in Wuhan City. Nan'ao County in Shantou City gained prominence and was rated as "China's Most Beautiful Ecological and Cultural Tourism County".

Nan'ao County is the only island county in Guangdong Province, and the only island-wide national 4A-level scenic area among the 12 island counties (districts) in mainland China. It is located on the sea surface at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Taiwan, only 7 nautical miles away from the main international route of the western Pacific Ocean, known as "the barrier of eastern Guangdong and the choke-point of Fujian and Guangdong". In addition, it has always been the necessary berth and transit point for trade along China’s southeastern coast, and it is also the main route for trade with Taiwan and maritime trade, and an important node along the "Maritime Silk Road".

　　汕头南澳获评“中国最美生态文化旅游名县”

　　近日，2024中国文旅经济高质量发展建设峰会在武汉召开。我市南澳县脱颖而出，获评“中国最美生态文化旅游名县”。

　　南澳是广东唯一的海岛县，也是中国大陆12个海岛县（区）中唯一的全岛域国家4A级旅游景区。处于闽、粤、台三地交界海面，距西太平洋国际主航线仅7海里，素有“粤东屏障 闽粤咽喉”之称，历来是东南沿海通商的必经泊点和中转站，也是对台和海上贸易的主要通道、“海上丝绸之路”的重要节点。
